SYSTEMS – CONNECTING
Menu
Connecting systems
To connect a system to the Media Control Center (MCC)
On a BCM music system go to:
Menu > Control panel > Media Control Center
Connection / Overview screen
Here you can enter the data to connect the music system to the MCC.
- Display name: This is the name as the player is visible in the MCC (this field is mandatory)
- Description: Here you can add additional information (optional)
- Pair code: This is the code of the account you want to connect the music system to (this field is mandatory)
Pending
The status changes to pending.
Go to the MCC to accept the system. After the system is accepted into MCC, various settings become visible. (If this does not happen automatically you have to click the “Refresh status” button)
The music system does not have to be left on for this!
The settings that become visible allow you to have tasks performed or not. For example, if you turn off “Apply audio schedules” then music lists you have programmed via MCC will not be played. Therefore, the ‘Music’ menu item is not visible in MCC.
The possible settings are:
- Enabling MCC operation: If it is disabled then the music system cannot be controlled from MCC
- Apply audio schedules: Allows you to turn music list programming on and off
- Apply photo/video schedules: Allows you to turn on and off photo and video frame programming
- Apply frame schedules: Allows you to turn frame programming on and off
- Apply tickertape schedules: Allows you to turn ticker programming on and off
If you create your own music lists, these will all be downloaded.
- Auto-download audio playlists: Automatically download audio playlists from the MCC website
- Auto-download photo/video playlists: Automatically download photo/video playlists from the MCC website
- Auto-download frame playlists: Automatically download frame playlists from the MCC website
- Auto-download tickertape playlists: Automatically download tickertape playlists from the MCC website
PLEASE NOTE: For slides, frames and tickers only the content in a playlist is downloaded. In the screensaver programmer, these lists are then displayed with content, so you can load them manually.
Ignore end of schedule events
With the “Ignore end of schedule events” settings, you can prevent the music, photo/video, frame or tickertape from shutting down when the scheduled programming is finished.
For example, if you have programmed a music list until 4 p.m., the music will normally stop at 4 p.m.. By turning on “Ignore schedule end for audio playlists” the last playlist is loaded at 4:00 p.m. and starts playing. The same applies to the photo/video, frame and tickertape playlists.
